Dept. of Emergency Management Headed to Wells, Nevada

The Nevada Department of Emergency Management is reporting that they are heading to the site of this morning’s 6.0 earthquake.
They will be arriving in the area to do damage assessment and assist in some limited evacuations. Reports of collapsed buildings in the historical downtown district are coming in. Water mains have broken and water is running down the streets. The sheriff’s office is setting up a temporary office near the damage affected area.
The quake hit at 7:16 this morning 11 miles east south east of Wells, Nevada. A 4.0 quake has also been reported in Southern Utah.
